Monster Island (2019) [Movie Review]

The Asylum’s 2019 mockbuster was released just in time for Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Monster Island tells the story of an island called Monster Island. A monster can be found there, who is then kind of the island, the Monster Island.

As this is an asylum movie, it has the approximate budget of a big kid's meal and uses it sparingly - focusing on (new updates) a few human characters, and keeping it's big names in one set where all their scenes can be filmed over lunch break. Let's not forget that this is the kaiju movie genre, and they do it well, so maybe The Asylum will not be so bad with it.
